BrokerScience.com Posting Guidelines

  • There are very few posting guidelines and the last thing we ever want to do is ban somebody or delete posts, so please use common sense. Personal attacks will not be tolerated, if you have an issue with someone, take it up with them personally, not on the board.
  • It is very easy to jump to conclusions about what someone means when they post and ten people might have ten interpretations of what a poster is saying. We all appreciate when we are given the benefit of the doubt so please give the respect you want to get.
  • Spam is not tolerated. It's okay to promote your own things, but please do so in a meaningful manner at appropriate times in the appropriate forums. Not doing so will not only get you banned, but more importantly will alienate you from your target audience and weaken your credibility throughout the board.
  • Don't post personal messages to one person through the board, contact them privately.
  • We will not delete posts, so post wisely.
  • Only one account allowed. If you are caught with more than one account you will permanently banned. Save yourself the trouble and don't even try.
  • In a perfect world, the board should function like a democracy. In reality, our staff have the final word on what is appropriate and what is not.

BrokerScience.com Policies / Things that we will not do:

  • We do not edit or delete posts simply because you do not like what somebody else has posted. There are two options you have for getting a post altered (or deleted) that was written by another member (contacting moderators/administrators to do it here is not an option you have).
  • The easiest method is to contact that members directly. They have the ability to edit their own posts for 24 hours after it is made. If the time frame is beyond the 24 hour window, the original poster can request that the post be edited by an administrator.
  • The other option would be to get a legal court order to do so. We will obviously abide by any ruling or decision of a United States Court.
  • We do not resolve disputes between members. Ever.
  • We do not have the time (or desire) to babysit members. If there is anyone that you don't get along with, you can choose to ignore them. Please don't ask to have a member banned simply because you don't get along with them. There are plenty of members that the administrators wouldn't consider friends, but it's not our job to silence members that we don't agree with.
